Remembering Lupi
Here it is the first day of September and I am finally sitting down to blog. It has been a long summer and honestly a difficult one for me. As many of you know my mentor, sidekick and best friend, Lupi, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the end of June. His absence has left a hole in my heart as I have always had a furry friend in my life until this summer. As much as I love Amy and Mark there is something about having a furry brother or sister who totally understands you. So I have been sad but I have not let that get in the way of my innkeeping duties. Lupi would not have put up with that!
So I have been greeting a tremendous amount of guests the past couple of months! The guests have come from all world but one thing they have all had in common – their love of dogs! I have been pet, pampered and spoiled! All that love has definitely helped me. Guests have also been enjoying all that Bath has to offer – great restaurants, shopping, outdoor concerts, theater, hiking and 2 great beaches only 20 minutes away! It has been a terrific summer for our visitors.
And the coming months are looking just as busy with guests coming to enjoy mid coast Maine in all its fall glory. I am thinking hikes in the woods with beautiful colored leaves, apple picking, the continuing weekly Famers Market, county fairs and sunset strolls at the beach. So many choices for guests – there is definitely something for everyone.
And I, along with Amy and Mark, will continue to remember our friend, Lupi, but we will be channeling his happy attitude into all we do here at the Benjamin F. Packard House.
Hoping to see you soon,
Tille
