The Glorious Winter

The Glorious Winter

I love winter!  Granted I have lots of hair to keep me warm when it is cold outside but there are a lot of other great things about this wonderful season.  Now that it is January you can already notice that the days are growing longer.  The skies at sunset are spectacular and I like to watch the sun slowly set and the sky turn pink from my seat on the patio.  The blue sky and sunshine (which is in abundance here in Maine in the winter) shine brighter than ever and even if it is only in the teens it still makes for a beautiful day.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

It is that time of year again; the holidays are here and everyone is busy at the B&B.  My job is to keep Tille from eating ornaments off the tree and pulling the greens out of pots out on the patio.  She is a high energy puppy but, on the plus side, she has me up,...

I Love Eggs

Needless to say, we go through a lot of eggs around here.  Eggs are one of my favorite things to eat.  I love them scrambled, as a fritatta, omelets, shirred, and over easy is a favorite but Amy says those are too messy for me to eat.  Our eggs come from a local farm...

The Dog Days of August

Today literally is a Dog Day in Bath!  Downtown Bath celebrates all things canine with a dog talent show, merchants selling great products for dogs and their owners and live music.  They close off Front Street and really make it a party for us four legged consumers. ...

A Big Announcement

A Big Announcement

I hope I have your full attention because I have a big announcement - I am getting a little sister!  Amy and Mark just told me that a new Bergamasco puppy will be arriving in our home at the end of September.  The new addition will be named Mirtilla (Italian for...
