The Dog Days of August

Today literally is a Dog Day in Bath!  Downtown Bath celebrates all things canine with a dog talent show, merchants selling great products for dogs and their owners and live music.  They close off Front Street and really make it a party for us four legged consumers.  Unfortunately, I think Mark, Amy and I will be missing it this year as we are so busy here at the B&B.  We have had all sorts of great people coming to visit – some for just a quick one night stay and some for a week.  We have all been working our tails off to make everyone’s stay fabulous and I think we are all doing a good job but that doesn’t leave a lot of time to stroll downtown and be seen at Dog Days.   There is always next year and then I will be able to take my little sister, Tilly, and introduce her to this great event.  For now, it is back to work greeting this mornings guests before they have breakfast and hoping they remember to save me some leftovers.  Oh, and by the way, if you haven’t come to Maine yet this year Amy and Mark are running a great special for the first two weeks on September – 10% off the rate when you stay two or more nights!  Hope to see you soon!
