Spring has Finally Sprung

Tulips in full bloom

Spring has finally arrived in Maine and the gardens at the B&B are proof of the warming weather and rain showers that have been gracing our area. Everyday when I go out in the morning, I see new green in the garden and Tille sees new plants to sniff and sample. I am still trying to teach her to stay off of Amy’s plants but she is a slow learner sometimes. The patio is open and ready for guests and this past weekend they took full advantage when Saturday turned out to be a spectacular day to sit and soak up the sun. Soon the new mulch will go down and I know Amy is planning her annual shopping trip to the Bath Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale on May 17th. This is a great way to support the local club and purchase plants at great prices which will grow in our climate. This is one of my favorite times of the year – getting outside, stretching and soaking up the warmth and watching the garden grow. What are you growing in your garden this year?
