Time for Retirement
I have been thinking a lot about retirement during the past busy season. Many of our guests are retired and talk about how wonderful it is to concentrate on doing the things they love. Well, I LOVE greeting guests and making them feel welcome when they come to stay at our B&B. It is my favorite job. But as I get older – I am 11 1/2 years old now – I find it takes most of my energy to get down the stairs or in from the patio to give a proper greeting. That leaves little time for my other tasks like blogging. So I have decided to retire from my blog and turn this responsibility over to Tille. She is now 2 1/2 and old enough to take on some new tasks as a B&B dog. She has come a long way in learning to greet appropriately, not run to the front door and not jump up on guests although she still needs to calm down on the barking when people arrive. No matter how much I tell her it is unnecessary and slightly obnoxious, she feels the need to give a loud greeting. I am hoping that she can channel some of that energy she puts into barking into blogging instead. So this is my final post but know that I am just conserving my strength, wags and happy smile for you when you walk through the door. And stay tuned for Tille and her musings about life as a B&B dog.
