I Resolve to Blog More

Jan 10, 2014 | Uncategorized

Yes, I have made a resolution for the New Year and that is to blog more.  I grew increasingly lazy at the end of last year after the busy season and decided napping was my main purpose in life.  But it is a new year and a new me!

Let me get you up to date on what has been happening around the B&B. We just finished up a busy Christmas season with guests, cold temperatures and lots of snow.  This is one of the few white Christmases I have seen since moving here 8 1/2 years ago.  I do enjoy playing in the snow and Tille absolutely loves it; running around like a fool but the ice is another story.  I slipped on the ice on Christmas night and my back legs went out.  I must admit I lost my confidence for walking but with some TLC from Amy and Mark and some homeopathic arthritis medicine I am as good as new.  Thanks to everyone who expressed concern.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day

We are now doing some planning for upcoming specials and the first is Valentine’s Day.  What are you getting your Valentine this year?   Might I suggest a weekend at our B&B.  A romantic getaway in a beautiful historic inn within walking distance to a quaint New England downtown.  We are offering our Quiet Season Rates for one night with 15% off a second or third night stay.  You can also add flowers, chocolates, or wine and cheese (see our Extra Special Extras) to individualize your stay.  It doesn’t get much better than an elegant room, comfortable bed, and a scrumptious breakfast with service that is unsurpassed (think turn down service with ice water and chocolates delivered to the room, complimentary afternoon tea in front of the fireplace, dinner reservations made for you and the list goes on).  What are you waiting for – call Amy and Mark and make those reservations.

We are thinking up other specials for the coming months but we always have our special packages listed on the website and available during specific times of the year.  Please take a moment and check them out – you may find that perfect getaway for that special someone in your life or for your group of friends.

Outside of planning for our guests, we are busy working on the house – painting is our main project in the coming months – luckily Tille and I get to beg off of this task.  Amy is also busy planning what is going to be new in the garden this year which helps us get through the long Maine winters.

Time for my afternoon nap but feeling invigorated that I have got off on the right paw by posting my first blog of the year and holding to my resolution.  Hope you help me with my resolution by offering your comments and checking back often to see how I am doing.
