Forcing Spring

After many great days of warm weather and the garden beginning to peek through – it has turned cold and gray again today. But Amy has a solution to keep spring alive. She noticed that a branch of her magnolia tree was half broken when she was out on one of the warm days. And no, I did not do it. The tree is out front and I am not allowed out there much since there is traffic. Anyway, she brought the branch in and stuck it in water and now the flowers are beginning to emerge. It is slow but will look great once they bloom. I posted a pic so you can see how far along they are – hopefully it will bloom for Easter – that would make Amy very happy.
