Looking Forward

Hello – Tille here and this is my first blog! Lupi has passed the responsibility on to me so he has a bit more time to relax and store up energy for our most important job – greeting guests and looking cute. So I have been struggling on what to write about but with the beginning of a new year I figured I needed to get my butt into gear, get off my comfy blanket in front of the window and do a little work. Despite it being the off season, there are still jobs to be done!

The new year has everyone thinking back and we here at the Benjamin F. Packard House are no different. We all want to take a minute to thank all the guests who chose to stay with us over the past year – it was our best and busiest year to date and we can’t thank you all enough. Looking at 2015, we are seeing some changes here in Bath. Our innkeeping friends at the Galen C. Moses House retired and sold their beautiful Victorian. A new B&B will be opening there for the season so we look forward to working along side them. Downtown Bath has seen some store closing as shopkeepers retire and make time in their lives for relaxation. Lots of rumors around about what will be moving in and I have no confirmed information about what these new store fronts will be but I am sure they will be the perfect businesses to support our great downtown. I do love walking downtown and seeing what is happening – Amy and Mark tell me if I get my barking under control they will take me more often. Maybe that is my resolution for 2015.

Here are our house no major changes are in the plans for 2015 and that suits me just fine. I believe when you have hit on a winning formula why make changes. So if you are planning a visit to us you can count on friendly, knowledgeable innkeepers who are hands on in running the B&B, clean and very comfortable rooms decorated in an elegant style, great gourmet breakfast with all breads and sweets baked in house, complimentary afternoon tea and a relaxing atmosphere where you can truly feel like you are on vacation.

We all look forward to seeing you in 2015 -returning friends and  new guests who have just found this wonderful spot – I am waiting to greet you when you arrive.
